Projects
With experience at the EPA, Nike, and start-ups, I believe sustainability isn’t about minimizing impact—it’s about designing for the right impact.
Whether it’s cutting emissions, conserving water, or improving labor conditions, I use data-driven tools—like LCA, carbon footprinting, chemical hazard and biodegradation assessments, and social audits—to uncover the “so what.” Through a collaborative process, I help clients build targeted short- and long-term strategies to align sustainability outcomes with business goals.
Life Cycle Assessment for Early-Stage Innovation
For a client preparing for a climate-focused funding round, I delivered a streamlined LCA to quantify potential greenhouse gas reductions at market scale. My tailored approach turned limited early-stage data into credible insights, helping the client secure investment from a leading climate-tech VC.
Understanding the Impact of Textile Processing on Biodegradability
For The Biomimicry Institute’s Design for Transformation initiative, I explored how dyeing, finishing, and other chemical treatments affect textiles’ ability to biodegrade through biological rather than chemical processes. Partnering with the University of Leeds, I synthesized current literature on biodegradability and toxicity, distilling key insights into three accessible info-sheets designed to inform sustainable innovation across the textile industry.

Infosheet #2: Biodegradation & Toxicity of Natural & Manmade Cellulosic Textiles
Infosheet #3: Biodegradation and Toxicity of Synthetic Textiles
Expert Workshop on the Toxicity of Microfibres
For Fashion for Good and The Microfibre Consortium, we co-designed and facilitated an expert workshop to clarify key insights on microfibre toxicity and identify research and innovation priorities. In collaboration with Dr. Lisa Erdle of the 5 Gyres Institute, we engaged leading scientists to shape a focused agenda and panel discussion addressing four critical aspects of microfibre toxicity. Findings from the session were compiled into a joint report by Fashion for Good and The Microfibre Consortium.
